Well, I have come to only a few new years resolutions, which I did the same for last year. I try to come up with only a few that I know that I can and will accomplish and that are very important to my everyday happiness and well being.
First and foremost, I have to stay healthy, both physically and mentally because if I am not, then it is hard to teach my children the same lifestyle.
Our Tuesday soccer
is about to start on January 23rd, so that takes care of the physical part. And for the mental aspect, I am going to make sure that I get a break from the kids and play my Sudoku, is a logic-based placement puzzle, and to try to start each day with a positive outlook.

Third, to try to find a babysitter, so that Gil and I can reconnect as husband and wife instead of only Dad and Mom!
Pretty much that sums it all up. Everything else that I accomplish throughout the year will be an added bonus.
In about one month we will start to remodel the kitchen, formal living, formal dining, and family room. It will be A LOT of work and stressful at times, but it is something that we like doing. I will post pictures during the entire process.
I hope that if you make any New Years Resolutions, that you can stick with them, and I would love to hear about them too!

Happy New Year to you all! I'm glad your holiday's were good. I feel your pain about sending Erico back to school. Devin's first day was on Tuesday, man I missed him. Anyway I didn't want to make a lot of new year's resolutions myself, cuz then they are hard to keep. Anyway Sterling and I are pretty much on the same page as you. We want to enjoy being husband and wife and not just be mom and dad everyday. We seem to have gotten in the mind set that every extra minute we have away from work or school should be spent with Devin, and we have gotten to the point where we feel guilty if we don't. Oh! About the Sudoku it is addictive, but I couldn't do it. I went through a time when I was struggling with anxiety or panic attacks that just came about out of no where. I was desperate to not have a panic attack so I tried to occupy my mind with journal writing, reading, and playing sudoku, and the sudoku acutally raised my anxiety so much I was getting this weird achy sensation in my neck when I would attempt one of the puzzles. It was crazy! Needless to say I had to quit. Ok... I guess this is a long enough comment.
